Arunachal Pradesh: Mega free eye check-up camp held at Kanubari
DIBRUGARH: A mega free eye check-up camp was held at the Community Health Center in Kanubari in Longding district of Arunachal Pradesh.
The camp was sponsored by HMLA of Kanubari Gabriel D Wangsu and organized by the Kanubari Additional Deputy Commissioner Office in collaboration with Bright Vision – NE, a Dibrugarh based NGO.
The camp was formally inaugurated by the HMLA in the presence of ADC, Kanubari Techu Aran, and a host of other senior government officials and doctors, para medics, nurses and staff members of the hospital.
The camp which evoked massive response from the public, particularly from the villagers of the far flung villages in the constituency, which shares its border with Assam, Nagaland, and Myanmar was conducted by doctors from Assam Medical College and Hospitals, Dibrugarh.
Children, women, and aged persons attended the camp and benefitted from it. Spectacles and medicines were distributed free among the patients.
Around 200 patients were treated during the camp. People wholeheartedly appreciated the gesture of HMLA Gabriel D Wangsu for sponsoring the camp, which immensely benefitted the people.
